Local government is about people, place, and policy. Home is our community’s greatest investment. Washington County faces $20.5M deficits; working families shouldn’t bear the burden. The political pipeline will continue business-as-usual, sacrificing prime farmland for corporate data centers and raising utility rates. We need leaders for people, not corporations.

When administrators bypassed my council to give millions in tax breaks to 17 data centers, I called for a moratorium and took legal action with Oregon Teachers Association and local leaders to protect public dollars.

In 2023, my opponent lobbied for SB4 corporate expansions, pushing to dismantle public engagement, strip farmland protections, eliminate reversion safeguards, and block legal appeals.

Priorities:

• Stop Sprawl & Protect Prime Soil: End data center tax breaks; halt expansion onto farmland. Tax existing facilities to reduce deficits, protect the power grid, and lower utility costs. Require corporations to pay their fair share and fund schools.

My path to public service began with a water bill.

Repeated rate increases prompted me to follow the numbers through Tigard’s water infrastructure, debt, and capital plans. That work led directly to the Budget Committee, where I identified gaps in how growth pays for itself.

Residents should not need to be financial experts to understand what their city charges them or how their money is spent.

My manufacturing career took me across Asia and Europe. I learned to break down complicated systems, question assumptions, trace costs, and focus on results.

I stepped away from my career to care for my young children. They are growing up in Tigard and I want it to be a place where they can stay, build a life, and put down roots. Today’s decisions shape their future.

On the City Council, I will focus on three commitments:

Public Safety: Protect police and fire department funding. Police officers and firefighters deserve our support for putting their lives on the line to protect our community. I’m currently serving as liaison on the Rural Fire Board observing firsthand the work our personnel are doing to improve response times. I support the bond for the new police station. A few of the many issues: the current station needs major repair, too small for the number of employees and doesn’t provide a secure and safe place for victim interviews.
