When immigration agents came to Karim's Hillsboro neighborhood and falsely identified themselves as Hillsboro PD, Karim and his wife Kiley blocked the van with their truck and their car. Karim walked straight up to the window and pressed agents until they showed their real badges. Neighbors flooded the street. The agents left — one van mounting a curb to get away.
This is federal overreach. The 5th and 14th Amendments guarantee due process to every person on US soil — not every citizen, every person. That is a constitutional right, and no one should be seized without it. Covered by three local TV stations.
KPTV FOX 12
When the pandemic hit and people had nowhere to turn, Karim's team started cooking and giving it away. KPTV Fox 12 came out to cover the free soup program they ran out of The 649. What started as a pandemic response never stopped. The program continues today, along with a free fridge and pantry at their home, because some needs don't go away when the crisis does.
